Spain, Costa Blanca, Jávea, Media Luna:
Media Luna is a very quiet and popular residential area in Jávea, located near many small swimming coves as well as restaurants and shops for daily needs.
Jávea itself is a small coastal town in the north of the Costa Blanca. All year round, Jávea offers a very relaxed atmosphere, a variety of restaurants, and crystal-clear waters. Jávea is part of the Valencian Community, specifically the province of Alicante, and belongs to the Marina Alta region. The city of Denia, as well as the towns of Moraira and Altea, are also located in the immediate vicinity.
What makes Jávea unique is its diverse natural landscape; in addition to its long rocky and sandy beaches, the surrounding natural features are also a highlight: Cabo de la Nao, Cap Negre, Cabo de San Antonio, and Cap Martí are four headlands, each interesting in its own way.
Mount Montgó, which shelters Jávea and also provides a road link to Denia, is considered the region’s highest peak at over 750 m. Many visitors and locals also refer to the mountain as the “sleeping elephant.”
Alicante Airport (ALC) is approximately 90 km away, and Valencia Airport (VLC) is approximately 115 km away. Thanks to good highway connections, the airports can be reached by car in about 1 to 1.5 hours (depending on traffic conditions). The famous islands of Ibiza and Mallorca are just a few nautical miles from the port of Jávea. Ferries also run regularly from nearby Denia to the surrounding islands.
