Moraira itself is a small coastal town that has developed from a quaint fishing village into a popular tourist destination.
The original charm has been preserved. Moraira has a small harbor, a sandy beach and small, pleasant bays. Moraira belongs to the municipality of Teulada, 4 km inland. The extensive valleys with their traditional fincas (farmhouses) are located near Teulada and stretch all the way to the Mediterranean.

The total area of Teulada is 32 km² with 12,000 inhabitants.

Alicante airport (ALC) is approx. 90 km away and Valencia airport (VLC) approx. 120 km away. Thanks to the good highway connections, the airports can be reached by car in approx. 1 - 1.5 hours (depending on traffic). There are also regular ferries from Denia (30 minutes away by car) to the surrounding islands such as Ibiza and Mallorca. Towns such as Javea, Benissa, Benitachell and Calpe are in the immediate vicinity.
